Products & Solutions
Oxidation and disinfection without chemicals — clean, environmentally friendly, and with a low carbon footprint.
Overview
Ozone is generated on demand from oxygen in air or from an oxygen concentrator, which means there is no chemical to store, handle or transport. It is a powerful oxidant that destroys bacterial cell walls outright rather than merely inactivating the organism, and it reverts to oxygen after use, leaving no persistent residual in the treated water.
Beyond disinfection, ozone oxidises the compounds responsible for colour and odour, and contributes to reductions in BOD, ammonia and total nitrogen — which often makes it the deciding factor where a discharge consent is tight.
Applications

Everything below is drawn from Ion Agua's published product information.
| Process | Ozone oxidation and disinfection, achieved without chemicals |
|---|---|
| Relative strength | 50% more powerful than chlorine disinfection |
| Relative speed | 3,000× faster than chlorine disinfection |
| Mode of action | Kills bacterial cells, rather than inactivating them |
| Additional benefits | Removes odour and colour from water |
| Load reduction | Reduces BOD, ammonia and total nitrogen |
| Approval and footprint | FDA approved, clean and environmentally friendly with a low carbon footprint |
Ion Agua sizes and fabricates every system against your feed water analysis and duty point. Detailed specifications are issued with the proposal.
